Ladbrokes wants Swedish judges replaced

British betting and gaming company Ladbrokes has plans to open betting shops in Sweden but has not been able to realise these due to the restrictions of the Swedish gaming monopoly.

Ladbrokes has appealed against a ruling that the monopoly does not violate European regulations and the case is to be heard by the Swedish Supreme Administrative Court shortly.

The betting company has now demanded that three of the five judges in the Court be replaced since they are not impartial.

Cashguard signs agreement with Ikea

Cash handling systems’ producer Cashguard has signed an agreement with Ikea to set up trial installations in Ikea’s stores and develop other solutions for cash management.

Nokia loses ground

Nokia continues to lose market share on the Swedish market according to GFK analysts. In the summer of 2003 Nokia had a 56 per cent share of shares but in the autumn of 2004 the share had fallen to 28 per cent.

In the latest survey Sony Ericsson has a 38 per cent share of the market – down 3 per cent since August. Siemens and LG are the winners on the Swedish market.
