Fewer complaints about Stockholm’s snow ploughs

There have been surprisingly few complaints on the snow ploughing in Stockholm despite heavy snowfall over the last couple of days, according to DN on Tuesday.

Stockholm council’s roads and property department has confirmed that they only had 325 complaints over two days, which is “a surprisingly low number of calls”, according to DN.

“We’ve just become better at clearing the roads”, said Mats Freij of the roads and property department.

It helps, noted DN, that there hasn’t been any “major breakdown of machinery” this year.

“As soon as a piece of machinery breaks down, or someone gets ill, that’s when the trouble starts”, said Freij.

The biggest problem is apparently trying to get the snow out of the way where there are cars parked.
