Oriflame dismisses chief executive

Cosmetics maker Oriflame said yesterday that Sven Mattsson, the company’s chief executive had been dismissed. The news comes after a number of profit warnings and unpleasant surprises for the company. Magnus Brännström, formerly regional director for Russia and Asia, will replace Mattsson as CEO.

Wedins faces litigation

Shoe retailer Wedins is facing litigation, after claims by competitor Glitter that it stole company secrets. Wedins refutes the claim but could face damages of up to 20 million kronor if found guilty.

Wallenberg most powerful

The business magazine Affärsvärlden names Jacob Wallenberg as Sweden’s most powerful businessman. Antonia Ax:son Johnson is the only female in the Top 10, ranked at number 9.
