The 19 year old who escaped from a secure youth unit in Sundbo on Saturdayday was captured on Monday evening.

He was caught in a park in his home town, Salem, south of Stockholm after local residents recognised him and alerted the police. According to Svenska Dagbladet the man tried once again to run away from the officers attempting to arrest him - but this time he was less successful.

The 19 year old was taken back to Sundbo on Monday evening.

An 18 year old double murderer who also escaped on Friday - but who only managed to stay on the run until Saturday - is likely to be charged with weapons offences after it emerged that he used a pistol in the break out. He is also suspected of threatening a prison officer.

His accomplice is suspected of aiding an escape.
