The Skåne-based judge who admitted to paying for sex in a Malmö brothel has been fired following a decision by the public accountability committee on Thursday.

His employment is terminated with immediate effect, according to the committee.

In February police in Malmö raided the brothel, which also operates as a solarium.

At first the judge denied that he had bought sex there. But when police played him a recorded telephone call in which he was heard ordering more than a sunbed, he came clean.

He has already been fined 70 days' wages for buying and attempting to buy sexual services. The judge is an assessor in the Appeals Court and does not have any usual judge duties.
