The number of dead Swedes who have been identified following the Boxing Day tsunami catastrophe now stands at 515. All of their relatives have been informed.

The police's list of missing or dead people remains at 543, with 28 still to be identified.

So far, ten people whose bodies have not been found have been declared dead by a special committee at the tax office. Relatives of some of the other 18 people have applied to have them declared dead.

The applications will be dealt with in the autumn.
