Sweden's foreign ministry on Monday issued a travel advisory warning against visiting Bali after three coordinated suicide bombings left at least 22 people dead on the Indonesian resort island at the weekend.

"Due to the terror act and the subsequent infrastructure problems in the area, the foreign ministry for the time being advises against unnecessary trips to the island," the ministry said in a statement.

At least 19 people were killed Saturday in addition to three suicide bombers who, strapped with explosives, blew up three restaurants full of tourists and locals on the resort island.

The attack prompted renewed fears within the island's tourism industry, which had just begun to recover following major bombings in 2002 that left 202 people dead.
