A man in his twenties who fell asleep at a house party in Brunflo, south of Östersund, was the victim of a practical joke last Friday which could have cost him his life.

While he dozed, someone squeezed out an entire tube of quick-action glue over his face. Apparently he woke when he had difficulty breathing. His eyelids were glued shut and only one nostril had been left free, reported the local paper, Östersunds-Posten.

The man was taken to Östersund hospital, where staff were able to snip open his eyes and clean out his airways.

The glue attack has been reported to the police and the man is still said to be in a lot of pain from the injuries caused when the hospital staff had to resort to scissors.
