Skanska wins big British contract

Swedish construction giant Skanska has won a contract to design, build and run three hospitals in Nottinghamshire, England.

Skankska won the £300 million (4 billion kronor) 32-year deal in a consortium with Innisfree. The agreement is part of the British programme for public-private partnerships, in which companies take over responsibility for operating public buildings from government authorities.

One condition of the deal is that Skanska invests £15 million, or 200 million kronor.
