Zlatan voted Swedish footballer of the year

Zlatan Ibrahmovic was awarded the 2005 'Golden Ball', the prize for the Swedish footballer of the year, on Monday night at a star-studded gala in Stockholm.
The 24 year old Juventus player - who, as some reports put it, 'snubbed' the occasion in favour of an important meeting with his employer - was also voted the year's best striker. Last season he scored 16 goals for his club, as well as 8 in his country's qualifying campaign for World Cup 2006.
"I'm proud and honoured but I won't settle for this. I want to win everything there is to win. That's what football is about," he said.
But the night's big award went to Ibrahmovic's senior, the Barcelona forward Henrik Larsson.
He picked up the 'All Time Golden Ball' award after a telephone vote by the programme's viewers, beating stars from the past including Gunnar Nordahl, Ralf Edstrom and Tomas Brolin.
