A school bus packed with 60 children aged 5-10 slid onto the wrong side of the road on Ulvsundavägen, near Solvalla, just before 3pm on Friday.

Four children were taken to the Astrid Lindgren children's hospital in Stockholm with minor injuries. The remaining passengers were put ono replacement buses.

Shortly afterwards, another school bus slid off a main road to the north west of Halmstad. Nobody was seriously injured, according to the first reports, but six ambulances and two other emergency vehicles were dispatched to the scene as a precaution.

There had been several other traffic accidents in the Stockholm area throughout the day, as snow and winds made driving conditions hazardous. According to SOS Alarm, nobody was seriously injured.
