An Emmy-winning Swedish designer is suing actress Melanie Griffith after she failed to mention his name on the red carpet at the Golden Globe awards.

California-based Niklas Palm, formerly of Oskarshamn, Sweden, filed a lawsuit at Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, claiming that the actress had reneged on a promise to mention his name to reporters, Associated Press has reported.

Palm also says Griffith and husband Antonio Banderas have not paid bills totalling nearly $26,000. The bills were due for January 16th, he claims.

Palm was part of a team that won an Emmy in 2004 for its work on television series Carnivale.
