A 35-year old woman who has been missing since New Year has been found buried in the snow in her own front garden, the Folkbladet newspaper has reported.

The woman was reported missing on New Year's Eve and a large search party was looking for her in January this year, but found no trace of her.

While looking for her body it was decided that her front garden was to be cleared and all the snow was shovelled in to a large mound. Last Saturday it was confirmed that the woman's shoe had been found near the heap of snow and on Tuesday the body was discovered – buried beneath it.

The police do not suspect foul play at present. A draft autopsy report will be made official on Wednesday.
