Haga Man faces new rape charge

The serial rape suspect known as the Haga Man has been accused of another attack, Expressen has reported.

Prosecutor Annika Öster confirmed to the paper that a new case has been added to the investigation but declined to give any further information.

According to Expressen's sources the case relates to a violent attempted rape in December 2000.

The legal proceedings against the suspect were due to begin on Thursday at the latest, but the defence approved the prosecutor's request for an extra 14 days.

On March 31st the man was charged on probable suspicion of rape, as well as two attempted murders and an attempted rape.
