Two men have been found dead in Surte, north of Gothenburg. Police suspect they were murdered.

The men were found lying next to a car on Wednesday morning.

The area is now blocked off for technical analysis, according to an announcement by the Swedish Police. The two bodies were found by two passers-by on their way work at around 7:30.

"These people are now being talked to by the police," police spokeswoman Malin Sahlström said.

The police do not want to say exactly how the two men were killed.

"But it is clear that they have been murdered," Sahlström said.

At time of writing, the two men had not yet been identified. The police are appealing for potential witnesses in the area.
