Lyon sign Swede Källström

French champions Lyon have confirmed the signing of Swedish international midfielder Kim Källström from rivals Rennes.

The 24-year-old, whose transfer was initially announced a week ago, has signed for between 7 and 8 million euros on a four year contract.

The goalscoring midfielder, who netted eight times in 34 Ligue 1 matches for Rennes last season as the club narrowly missed out on UEFA Cup qualification, was also being pursued by Tottenham and UEFA Cup winners Sevilla.

It is the second close season signing for five-in-a-row champions Lyon after already securing the services of midfielder Jeremy Toulalan from Nantes for 7 million euros.

Källström is currently preparing for the World Cup with the Sweden squad.

“Brozovic's Inter Milan and Swedish epidemiologists were informed about the positive test,” an HNS statement said.

The player's positive result came two days after defender Domagoj Vida was informed of a positive Covid-19 test after playing the first half of a friendly with Turkey in Istanbul.

Apart from Brozovic, 27, one staff member also tested positive.

They were both isolated from other members of the national team.

After Sweden, Croatia play another Nations League game against Portugal on Tuesday.

Croatia, runners-up at the 2018 World Cup, are third in their Nations League group which also includes France, the team that beat them to the World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal and Sweden.
