An eleven year old boy has died after falling from a roof during a game with friends on Monday.

On Monday afternoon the boy and his three friends, who were all aged 13, were playing in a garden in Burseryd, around 25 kilometres outside Gislaved, according to Swedish Radio Jönköping.

The eleven year old and one of his friends decided to climb up on the 2-3 metre high garage roof. Suddenly the boy slipped and fell to the ground.

"He was injured so badly that he died on the way to hospital," said Bengt Netterström, a spokesman at Jönköping police, to TT.

There is no suspicion of any crime in connection with the incident, which police described as a tragic accident.
