The woman being prosecuted for murdering her ten-year old son Bobby is to be allowed out of jail to attend his funeral, according to tabloids Aftonbladet and Expressen.

The mother's partner, also charged with Bobby's murder, was denied permission to attend the ceremony.

"He is not sufficiently closely related to be entitled to go to a family ceremony such as this," Tony Leander, an official at Jönköping prison, told Aftonbladet.

Bobby will be buried on Wednesday in Ödsmäl church, near Stenungsund in Småland, southern Sweden.

The verdict in the murder case against the mother and her partner will be announced on Friday.
