Far-right group popular with young Swedes

The far right Sverigedemokraterna, or Sweden Democrats, is the third most popular party for people between the ages of 15 and 21, according to Ungt val 2006, an Internet poll conducted by the Web site Lunarstorm and Aftonbladet.

The survey, which had 120,000 participants, reports that nearly 12 percent of votes went to Sverigedemokraterna, with far more boys than girls voting for the party.

The Moderate Party pulled in 21.7 percent of the votes, while the Social Democrats followed with 20.8 percent.

Least popular was the June List party which received 0.6 percent. Many voters, 20.67 percent, decided to spoil their ballots.
