Axl Rose released after admission

Guns N' Roses star Axl Rose was freed on Tuesday night after spending the day in Swedish police custody in Stockholm.

The singer, who was arrested drunk on Tuesday morning after a night in Stockholm’s bars and clubs, was accused of assaulting a security guard and of causing criminal damage to Berns hotel.

Police questioned Rose for several hours on Tuesday afternoon. Prosecutors then offered him the chance to sign a document admitting the crimes he was accused of and agreeing to pay fines of 50,000 kronor.

The admission means Rose can continue his Scandinavian tour on Wednesday.
