A controversial question was whether parliamentary deputy Chatrine Pålsson Ahlgren would keep her place on the party’s executive committee. The party’s electoral committee had not nominated her, saying it wanted new blood at the top of the party.
A number of conference delegates spoke in favour of Pålsson ahead of the vote, but electoral committee’s proposals ended up getting the backing of party members.
Among the new members of the party executive were Ebba Lindsö, former head of the Confederation of Swedish Industry. She was joined by among others parliamentarian Ragnwi Marcelind and Lars F Eklund, director of the Civitas think tank.
