Passenger boat rams Gothenburg jetty
Ten people were taken to hospital on Friday morning after a passenger boat carrying some 90 guests rammed a dock near Eriksberg, in Gothenburg.
Rescue services received the call at 10am and took those injured to the Sahlgrenska and Mölndal hospitals.
The damages to the boat were above the water line so there was no risk of the boat sinking.
"We went straight into the pier at full speed," said Anders Lindström, who stood on the top deck as the boat crashed. "People were tossed around."
"The captain was able to yell out that the engine had died and that we were going to crash with the dock," Lindström said.
