A mail truck carrying valuables was robbed on Monday in Dalarö, south of Stockholm.

A man with a gun forced himself into the vehicle and made the worker drive around for nearly an hour before stopping and picking up an additional person near Huddinge, also south of the city.

The two men locked the driver in the back of the truck and told him that if he were to open the door, a bomb would go off. After the thieves took off, the driver was able to reach for his mobile phone and ring police around 7 p.m.

“There wasn't any bomb,” said Bengt Engström, police spokesman. “The driver was not injured physically but was in shock.”

It is not know how much was taken during the robbery.
