A 30 year-old woman was today hit by a train and killed in an accident at Ånge train station in northern Sweden.

The woman was listening to music in her headphones at the time of the accident. She went under the level crossing gate and out onto the track just as a passenger train came along.

The train was coming from Östersund and had slowed down on its way into the station. The woman however failed to see the advancing train and was run over. She died immediately from the injuries she sustained.
