83-year-old charged with rape

An 83-year-old man from northern Sweden has been charged with raping a disabled woman.
The man, from the county of Norrbotten, is alleged to have forced the woman to have sexual intercourse with him and to perform a variety of other sexual acts, local newspaper Piteå-Tidning reports.
The attacks are said to have taken place at the man's home during the summer.
According to the charge sheet filed at the court, the man forced himself on the woman, pushing her up against the kitchen work surface. The man then forced her to perform sexual acts in such a way that they were commensurate with rape, the prosecutor argues. The charge sheet also states that the man forced the woman to have full sexual intercourse.
The man has admitted to some of the crimes of which he is accused.
