Two people were killed near Borås, western Sweden, on Friday afternoon, after a bus crashed in a head-on collision with a car.

The accident happened on the Riksväg 41 road between Borås and Kinna. The two people killed were travelling in the car.

The bus driver and three passengers were injured and taken to Borås hospital.

Police say the accident happened after the car veered onto the wrong side of the road. The impact forced the bus into a ditch. One further car was involved in the accident, but nobody in that vehicle was injured.
