A Romeo who tried to woo back his ex-girlfriend by standing outside her window and serenading her is to be prosecuted for harassment.

The 55-year-old man from Karlstad, western Sweden, had split up with his girlfriend after a 4 year relationship. But in autumn 2005 he started sending text messages to her several times a day, Expressen reports.

When that didn't work, he decided to step up his efforts, and visited the woman's home. There, he stood outside her home and sang love songs for a whole evening.

Unfortunately for the man, his former love was not won back. In fact, prosecutor Tyko Gullmo said she found the whole episode "incredibly uncomfortable."

The man is now being charged with harassment.
