A five year old boy who disappeared in Malmö at around 5pm on Friday was found safe on Saturday morning. He had gone to sleep at a friend's house.

A major police operation overnight, which included the use of a helicopter with a heat-sensitive camera, failed to discover the whereabouts of the boy.

The boy was at a playground in the south of the city. His mother was keeping an eye on him from a window but shortly before he was due home he vanished.

It turned out that he had gone home with an older friend and stayed the night there.

On Saturday morning the boys were on their way back to the five year old's home when they stopped in a shop. The little boy was recognised and the search was called off.
