Unions launch blockade of cosmetics store
Officials from Sweden's largest shopworkers' union have launched a blockade against a shop in Kristianstad, southern Sweden, after the owner refused to sign its collective bargaining agreement.
The Union of Commercial Employees, Handels, has called for the sole employee of Make Up Store, which sells female cosmetics, to come out on strike.
It has also threatened to blockade the store, meaning that flyers will be handed to customers, and suppliers will be encouraged to stop deliveries.
The union said in a statement that it made no difference that the company was small, adding that it was prioritising collective agreements guaranteeing minimum conditions for employees.
