A sculpture has been stolen from outside the town hall in Sölvesborg in southern Sweden.

In a move reminiscent of school principals the world over, the town council plans to report the theft to the police if the artwork it is not brought back by Monday.

The sculpture first went missing last week, Sverigees Radio reports.

A commission from local artist Johnny Martinsson, the artwork is said to be worth a six figure sum.
