A fire caused the evacuation of a Stockholm shopping centre on Sunday afternoon, with a number of stars who featured in Saturday night's Melodifestivalen caught up in the drama.

The blaze broke out at the Stinsen mall in Sollentuna , a northern suburb of the capital. Hundreds of shoppers had to be evacuated, but the fire was soon put out by the mall's sprinkler system.

The fire started by a loading bay. The cause of the blaze was still unclear on Sunday afternoon, but police were not ruling out arson.

"We have started an investigation focused on arson. Police technicians will look into the cause," said police spokeswoman Ann-Charlotte Wejnäs-

Melodifestivalen finalists Andreas Johnson, Sonja Aldén and Sanna Nielsen were signing records in the mall when the alarm was raised shortly after 2pm.

Nobody was injured in the fire, and customers were allowed back into the mall at about 3pm.
