Stenbeck nominated as Kinnevik chair

Cristina Stenbeck has been proposed as the new chairwoman of Kinnevik, the family investment company in which she is principal owner.

Stenbeck, 29, will replace Pehr G Gyllenhammar at the head of the company under the proposals put forward by the company's nominating committee on Wednesday.

The proposals will be voted on at Kinnevik's AGM on May 10th. The nominating committee also proposed the re-election to the board of Vigo Carlund, Wilhelm Klingspor, Erik Mitteregger and Stig Nordin. Allen Sangines Krause, CEO of Goldman Sachs International, was also nominated to the board.

Kinnevik has major shareholdings in a number of well-known companies, including newspaper group Metro International and broadcasting company Modern Times Group.
