A brawl involving up to 30 people in Haninge, outside Stockholm, at lunchtime on Saturday, left two men injured and requiring hospital treatment.

"We sent ten units including two dog patrols to the scene," said Towe Hägg, Stockholm police spokesperson.

Police were called to Haninge town centre in Södertörn just after noon. The first reports indicated that two youth gangs, armed with weapons including crowbars, had begun attacking each other.

At least two people were injured. One was found in Haninge centre itself, while the other was discovered in a carpark in the area. They were both taken to hospital by ambulance.

"The men were conscious, but we have no further details on their condition just now," said Towe Hägg.
