A 35-year-old man in Gothenburg has been charged with sexually assaulting eleven teenage girls.

Four of the cases have been classified as rape. The man is thought to have offered the girls modelling careers.

The suspect made contact with the girls over the internet before arranging to meet them at hotel rooms in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.

Having held out the prospect of photo sessions to launch the girls' modelling careers, more often than not the encounters led to sexual assault.

The suspect denies having committed any crime, though he has conceded that much of the circumstantial evidence against him is correct.

He has been detained in custody in Gothenburg since February 2nd.
