Man dragged down road by drunk driver

A man who stopped a drunk driver in a village near Örebro became caught in the car and was dragged 25 metres as the driver pulled away.

The incident happened in a village to the east of Örebro on Saturday evening. The man and his son noticed a driver whom they suspected was drunk.

The father tried to talk to the driver, who tried to drive away. Somehow, the man became caught in the car and was dragged 25 metres along the road. He was taken to hospital with injuries to his legs and head. His wounds were not life threatening, according to police.

The driver, 31, was later found by police. He is suspected of drink driving, causing actual bodily harm and leaving the scene of an accident.
