The 35-year-old Nordea employee who is one of the main suspects in an ongoing insider trading investigation was released on Tuesday after almost a month in police custody.

According to prosecutor Stig Åström, the arrest of a Luxembourg-based man suspected of assisting the Nordea employee played an important part in his release.

"Of course we didn't want him to have a chat with the Nordea man," he told business news site E24.

In a related development, Stockholm District Court has announced the involvement of a further prosecutor in the insider trading case. This suggests that the number of suspects may have grown.
