Staff at the Hell's Kitchen nightclub in central Stockholm went home happy on Saturday night having shared the spoils of a very generous tip.

After a night's revelry involving a six litre bottle of Dom Perignon champagne and several new female acquaintances, an American tourist left a tip 85,000 kronor to be divided among the people working at the club.

The tourist was accompanied on his Stureplan night out by five friends. When the rare six-litre bottle of champagne arrived at their table, the group was soon joined by a number of women who contributed to the effort of emptying the bottle of its contents, Aftonbladet reports.

By the time the American and his friends were ready to leave in the early hours of the morning they had run up a 90,000 kronor bill, 75,000 kronor of which went towards the Dom Perignon.

Before he left however the American is said to have discreetly thanked the staff and rewarded them handsomely for their work.
