Hu will arrive in Stockholm on the heels of his participation in the G8 meeting in the German Baltic Sea resort of Heiligendamm on June 6th-8th.

His programme will include an audience with King Carl XVI Gustaf as well as meetings with Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt, Foreign Minister Carl Bildt and the speaker of parliament.

The Asian leader will also meet representatives of the Swedish business community, and visit the southwestern city of Gothenburg where he will pay a visit to Swedish truck manufacturer Volvo.

Hu will also participate in ceremonies welcoming the return of the East Indiaman Götheborg, a replica of the Swedish 18th century merchant ship that sank in 1745.
