Hit and run driver suspected of murder attempt
A 45 year old man was arrested on Saturday morning after a hit-and-run incident in central Höganäs which left three people injured, one of them seriously.
The man was brought in for questioning just after 4am, three hours after the incident at a bus stop on Centralgatan. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of another man, also aged 45.
The men are said to have been driving a car which ploughed into a group of people. A 21-year-old woman was seriously injured but her condition is not life-threatening.
A 19-year-old man had to have his leg put in a cast after it was injured, while two men aged 18 and 19 suffered injuries to their feet.
According to witnesses the car was driven into the group intentionally. It is now being treated as attempted murder.
Skåne police spokesman Charley Nilsson commented:
"As far as we know there is no direct link between the men and the people who were run over, but we have information of a row between them earlier on Friday night."
