Three young people were trapped inside a rollercoaster at a height of over ten metres at the Gröna Lund amusement park in Stockholm on Thursday evening.

Strong winds prevented the carriage from completely the journey to the crest of a hill.

After half an hour the trapped youths were rescued with the help of a crane.

"It was very cold. I was afraid I was going to faint," 19-year-old Caroline Hedberg told Expressen.

Gröna Lund has now pledged to measure the wind speed at which it is necessary to close the rollercoaster ride.

"We are treating this seriously," manager Hans Adenmark told Aftonbladet.
