Man uses badminton racket to beat off attacker

A badminton racket was used to great effect by a man on the receiving end of a knife attack in Falkenberg in the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to police, an attacker armed with a fillet knife made a lunge at another man at Skrea Camping at 2am.

Nobody was reported injured in the altercation, as the surprised camper managed to fend off his attacker with the aid of a badminton racket.

Police have indicated that the men were not acquainted. The attacker, whose identity is unknown, fled from the camp site immediately after the incident.
