Man stabbed to death in Gothenburg
A 45-year-old man was stabbed to death beside a tram stop in Gothenburg late on Tuesday afternoon. According to police, the victim had his throat cut by two young men wearing hooded tops.
The men ran from the scene and police have not yet been able to identify them.
"We are working on the hypothesis that this was a murder and robbery," said police spokesman Thomas Fuxborg.
Police suspect that the victim was stabbed inside the newsagents where he worked, which is located by a tram stop in Länsmansgården in the Hisingen district.
He then managed to make his way out of the shop before being taken by ambulance to Sahlgrenska Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
