Shots were fired at a nightclub in Malmö early on Thursday morning. The gunmen approached the Etage club on Stortorget in the city centre on a moped.

A doorman was standing outside the club at the time of the shooting, but he was not hit. Nobody was injured in the incident. The gunmen were described as wearing black outfits and helmets. They are believed to have used an automatic weapon.

A large number of people were in the club at the time of the shooting. Police say the incident could be linked to a disturbance earlier in the evening, in which two disruptive clubbers were ejected. Neither of the people on the moped had been arrested by the time of writing.
