Woman's body found in park
A woman's body has been found in a park in Huddinge, a suburb of Stockholm. Police believe she was murdered.
The body was found on Wednesday morning by a member of the public close to the Flottsbro ski area and campsite. The police were alerted at 4:40am.
"An investigation into a suspected murder has commenced," said police spokesman Mats Nylén.
"Technicians have been on the scene to carry out an initial investigation and secure potential traces."
Nylén would not reveal why police suspect murder, nor would he say how old the woman was.
"One of the measures we will take is of course to carry out a comparison with records of missing people, and see if the description matches," he said.
The body is to undergo a post-mortem examination by police forensic pathologists.
Police say that they currently do not have a suspect for the crime.
