A major fight broke out at a courthouse in Malmö on Wednesday morning as rival factions in a family feud resumed hostilities in the waiting room prior to the start of an appeals court hearing.

Four people were arrested and one person was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

While there was already a police presence in attendance to deal with any disturbances, a number of extra units needed to be called in to help restore calm. Police used peppar spray to bring the situation under control.

The hearing eventually began at 9.30am after order had been restored.

According to Sydsvenska Dagbladet, nine people were arrested for involvement in an alleged shooting, arson and attempted murder when a family feud turned violent on March 1st this year.
