A man has been found shot dead in a suburb south of Stockholm.

The man was found early on Friday morning at a house in Tullinge, south of the city centre, by a relative. Police were called at 5.04am.

"There is reason to believe that the man was murdered. Otherwise, the circumstances are unclear. There is currently no suspect," said Joakim Caryll, spokesman for Stockholm Police.

Police plan to interview witnesses and carry out a forensic examination of the house on Friday morning.
