The CEO and chairman of the board of Swedish bourse owner OMX AB met on Monday with representatives of the Dubai stock exchange.

The OMX press office was able to confirm that Magnus Böcker and Urban Bäckström had arranged a meeting with holding company Borse Dubai.

The meeting follows the Dubai bourse's purchase last week of just over 27 percent of the shares in OMX.

The Dubai exchange's Swedish spokesman, Bo Albertsson, was refusing to comment on the nature of Monday's meeting. He would not say whether the Dubai stock exchange had sent along any representatives other than CEO Per E Larsson, who formerly headed OMX.

Borse Dubai's ownership is equivalent to 27.5 percent of the voting rights in OMX.
