Fashion houses Gucci and Chanel have had a rethink and decided not to sue a 15-year-old boy from Gothenburg for copyright infringement, Metro reports.

Last month customs officers confiscated three packages from China containing counterfeit sunglasses that were addressed to the boy.

The fashion giants elected to sue the 15-adolescent, who consistently denied the charges.

But both companies have now expressed their satisfaction after the boy agreed to destroy the pirated goods and have chosen not to take legal action.
