Man shot in head at Malmö restaurant

A man is in a life-threatening condition in hospital after being shot in the head at a restaurant in Malmö on Wednesday night. Another man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The shooting happened at a restaurant's outside seating area on Claesgatan in Malmö at about 8.30pm.

The victim, who is about 35, was taken to Malmö University Hospital, where he was said to be in a critical, life-threatening condition. He was later transferred to Lund University Hospital.

Two men were arrested later in the evening on suspicion of involvement in the shooting. One of the men was later released, according to Skåne Police.

A large area around the crime scene was sealed off on Wednesday night. Police were carrying out a forensic examination of the scene.
