A man died on Friday afternoon after he was run over by a subway train at Högdalen station in Stockholm. Police believe that the victim may have been murdered and are investigating reports that he pushed off the platform as the train pulled into the station.

"We have witness accounts saying that there were two men standing together on the platform. When the train came one of them was pushed by the other man," said police spokesman Ove Svantesson.

The victim was taken to Karolinska University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not yet been able to locate the murder suspect.
